National Day of Action for Immigrant Justice

Fri Apr 07, 2006 at 12:59:07 PM PDT

Monday April 10 is the National Day of Action for Immigrant Justice.

We expect to see some of the largest gatherings of men, women, children, senior citizens, activists, political and religious leaders, union members and pro-immigrant organizations ever organized by immigrants in this country.

Today's republican filibuster that shelved the immigration reform bill worked out in a bipartisan fashion by the Senate during the last few days will certainly resonate loud and clear as immigrants from many countries begin to assemble next Monday.

If you are interested in spreading the word about the upcoming protests and events of next Monday, or just want to learn more about them, you can find information following these links:

In English: Inmigrant Solidarity Network

In Spanish: Día Nacional de Acción por la Justicia para el Inmigrante

See you Monday in the streets of Washington, DC.
