$2300 for Breakfast with Senator Obama

You may remember me from diaries like this this where I challenged Kos and ended up donating $5,000 to run ads for John Laesch against the evil, corrupt meat-puppet, Denny Hastert.
We've put the kids through college without loans, our house is paid for, and we have have, IMO, been financially rewarded for living a virtuous life where we brought my mother-in-law into our home and let her die at home, worked hard, risked a lot, and now have some assets, a low carbon footprint, and a commitment to our childrens' unborn childrens' future.
Yes, I've been waiting for Al Gore, because he has been so consistently right about the most important issues.
Yes, John Edwards' theme of the Two America's resonates strongly with my populist sympathies.
My wife and her feminist friends would love to see the first woman President, but can't stomach Senator Clinton.
We have a surrogate son, a son of our heart if not our loins, who has done two tours of duty in Iraq, and his wonderful active-duty wife who has completed one tour, and they trust us to support them in every way, but especially politically.
I have listened closely to these young people who have put their beautiful lives on the line, to my sons, to my sister, and to my heart, and I'm supporting Senator Barack Obama, with our money, our hopes, and our dreams.
With Howard Dean, we chipped in every time the bat went up, and when I met Governor Dean at a fundraiser, I couldn't have been more pleased with my candidate, or my investment, even though I realized then that he would never be President.
If you have read Jefferson, Paine, and our other founders, and followed American history, you can recognize how America has foundered under this curren renegade administration, and how much we need to bring ourselves back to our ideals.
Barack Obama offers a post-racial, post-partisan vision, not a splitting of the middle between mediocrity and evil, but instead something beyond the Money Party, beyond racism, beyond theocracy.
I now believe in early money, early support, and putting every dollar I have now to build a better world for my children and their unborn children.
I'll report back to the Kossack community after my insider big bucks breakfast.
