I'm Engaged!!!

Last night, my boyfriend (now fiance) proposed to me at this restaurant, Margot's, in East Nashville in the Five Points area neighborhood.

This was me at the restaurant, before Chris popped the question. He asked me to slide out from the table to take a photo with his iPhone camera, so I did, figuring that it was a better area to get a nice photo.

So then I posed with my boyfriend, Chris, thinking that we were getting back to the table, but nooo, Chris asked me to stay for a couple of minutes.

He turned to face me, and then he started talking, and all the background noise seemed to fade out as he dropped down to his knee.

And he took the ring out, said the magic words, "Will you marry me?" And I said, "YES!" Everyone in the room cheered for the two of us.

Then we kissed, and everyone kept on cheering. It was so great, and I'll never forget that proposal for the rest of my life.

Everyone in my family's congratulated me on the news, and even my older brother called me all the way from London along with my sister-in-law. The best part of their reactions came from my 17 year old half-sister, Mia, who received my text message during a movie.

Oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god i'm calling you in 30 i'm so fucking happy for you oh my god

Ah, teenage half-sisters. :-)
