Prince George's County Executive Jack B. Johnson, a Democratic convention delegate pledged to support Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, said yesterday that he thinks Sen. Barack Obama has "in a real sense" won the Democratic nomination and that he now plans to support Obama at the August convention.This is Johnson's second change of heart in the race. He had allowed his name to be listed as a supporter by the Obama campaign in December.

Unlike superdelegates, who are free to endorse either candidate, Johnson is one of 28 pledged delegates who have agreed to represent the 36 percent of Maryland Democrats who voted for Clinton on Feb. 12.

Some Clinton delegates were chosen by voters at the ballot. Others, such as Johnson, were selected in consultation with the Clinton campaign by the Maryland Democratic State Central Committee, party spokesman David Paulson said.

This race is over and you are being lied to.
In an open letter to Barack Obama Clinton said:

"I have consistently said that the votes cast in Florida and Michigan in January should be counted."

Or this from Bill Clinton:

"We are gonna have to resolve Michigan and Florida and when we do she can win the popular vote."
They are so focused on Florida and Michigan. They really really want the votes to count! And they have been so consistent on this point....

They are L Y I N G to you.  And Forgive me if I'm wrong... but you're not supposed to let that happen...right?

Apparently, during a call with reporters, Mark Penn said: "Obama can't win the general election...if he can't win in PA, how can he win the general election?" Cue the laughter....

So.. later in the call, a reporter asks him about that statement and they brazenly say "Mark never said that..he never said that" Except he did... there is even an audio recording of it.

1. How stupid does the Clinton campaign think we are?

2. Is the media going to pick this story up at all?

3. Is Mark Penn really this much of a fucking douchebag?

America has been hurting. For a long time.
And Democrats especially.
It has been so long since we have been inspired by our President.
America was shamed by Clinton's affairs and tongue in cheek denial of them.
And they ran towards an apparent agent of change.
But that turned out to be far worse than anyone ever expected. He surrounded himself with sycophants and morally repugnant neo-conservatives.
And they have led us near the brink of utter disaster.
For nigh 7 years America has been hurting. Ashamed. Angry. Fighting itself.

What we need is a leader who can inspire. Who can unite. Who can offer us hope, and build a momentum towards regaining what was once a great nation.

At least he got Erik Andersen impressed enough to post a glowing review o the Yes We Can video. I am sure it warmed over a few icicles on the hearts of a few of them. He even asks at the top "Is anyone going to make one of these for Mitt?" LOFL!

  But I don't think so. They are out there, I think to myself, those ordinary citizens who have grown up in the midst of all the political and cultural battles, but who have found a way-in their own lives-to make peace with their neighbors, and themselves.

Once in a while I stumble across a piece in that old-school medium we call a newspaper, and it impresses me. This hasn't happened in a long, repeat LONG, time. So I feel compelled to share  the salient pieces of the article: The Ghost Following Bush.

I am posting my Cranberry Bourbon Relish recipe (not mine per se.. found it a long time ago and make it every year). And now I post it for all to enjoy.

I was hesitant to try this recipe at first, but believe me, it is incredible. The Bourbon and cranberry flavor is amazing.

Don't freak out while you're cooking it.. those cranberries will pop and turn mushy.. I promise.

The only people who WON that atrocity of a debate were Republicans.
The questions sounded as if they were written by Karl Rove, then edited by Joe Lieberman.

This was chance for the Democratic Party to shine, to thrust some buried issues back onto the front burner, to turn even more heat on the Republicans. Did we get anythin even close to that?

I was flipping through some of Mitch Albom's old articles over at Freep.com and came across his article on Tim Hardaway's homophobic hate screed. In the comments section was a lively discussion, but one post really stood out. This is an amazing debunking of the "homesexuality is a choice" argument. It's concise and devastating.

This really needs to get out.

A rabid winger in my office is telling em that CNN is the ONLY american news channel that FIdel allows and he is saying that becuase it is soo left (whatever).

This is a conscious effort to bog down the new Congress so they can stand there and point fingers. WE can't let them get away with this.

We need to contact the media and swarm them with this. Keith Olberman anyone?

I know you're extremely busy and all, what with our crsuhing defeat over the Republicans this past week. I just wanted to check in, make sure you're still here, getting the pulse of the blogosphere, listeing to what we have to say.

I know you'll post again here soon, I know you haven't abandoned us. I know you realize that this community is a microcosm of the whole country and that this is a valuable resource for you and the entire party.

We took the House. Santorum is gone. We made them spend millions where they normally wouldn't have. The Rethugs are weak and bleeding, and we have two more years of criminal investigations to go.
We now have a voice and power to use that voice.
Howard envisioned the 50 state strategy and stuck to it despite the screams and wails of Old School Democrats.
He saw the power we have here at DailyKos and he let us use it to its fullest extent.
Howard is the future of this party and the future of this country.

So.. it's Friday.
i have 3 beers in the fridge, a few cheese quesadillas ready to heat up, some great music queued up.. and I'm getting the headset attached to my phone. Cause I am calling people tonight. I have my MoveOn screen loaded and ready to go, I'm practiced and polished and I am raring to go.

After seeing the shameful ad the GOP will run on cable networks I took some time and made my own version. I used their ad and merely added the Truth to it.
I think it works pretty well.

So.. call me crazy but I just had a scary thought. How hard would it be for Rove and his winged minions to sit back and watch the Dems avalanche the polls on November 7th, only to scream "Vote Fraud!" minutes after the results are announced.

"They've been on this Diebold electronic vote theft wagon from day one and it appears they found a way to actually do it!"

Then he pulls out evidence of vote manipulation in favor of Dems in a variety of races.

What happens after this I can't fathom, but it can't be good. Not with the new laws in place regarding "Civil Unrest"
